We are proud to announce our February Heroes of the Month for 2018,
Andrea Cashman and Wendy Cahill.

(as seen above)

Andrea Cashman & Wendy Cahill from Tranquility Mind & Body Wellness Spa hosted a “Yogathon Fundraiser” to raise funds for Milford Prevention Council to help educate, intervene and prevent the opioid epidemic.

Wendy is a Milford resident and has been teaching yoga for almost a couple of years now.  She trained in 8 different yoga modalities:  Vinyasa, Restorative, Therapeutics, Yin, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga 12 Step Recovery & Thai Yoga Massage. When she is not teaching yoga, she is a wife and mother of two beautiful kids. She is also co-coach a basketball team in the Milford Recreation League for her son’s 6th-grade team and travels regularly for her daughter’s competitive gymnastics team.

Andrea is passionate about helping her students discover the physical, emotional and spiritual balance of yoga while maintaining a light-hearted, joyful and safe environment. Her classes are accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical condition or yoga experience.  Andrea worked her way through college teaching in various fitness clubs, including the famed La Costa Resort in southern California, now the home of Deepak Chopra’s Yoga and Wellness Center. Her yoga instruction is diverse, and classes offer a variety of styles that will challenge the student while honoring the individual abilities and aspirations. Pranayama (breath control) and Meditation are intrinsic to the Yoga practice.

Yoga is an amazing coping tool and offers numerous benefits for individuals in recovery. Evidence-based data shows that the power of the mind-body connection to movement and breath can help beat addiction. To help build awareness of this amazing aide.

Kudos ladies!
